As a collaborative project, our team - THRE[3], was tasked with designing a range of products that had a connective house style. The brief required each team member to curate their own product and contribute to project planning and execution.
With rapid advances in technology, one generation seems left behind when it comes down to smart devices. The elderly and older population lack products that provide relative assistance, simple interfaces and usability without compromising on aesthetics and desirability.
THRE[3] proposed a range of products that used subtly to target out audience to cover a range of shortfalls in home devices. Universality, and minimal user-facing interfaces were key. This project focuses on creating in home lighting, that can be easily accessed in the event of power outages or darkness, to ensure the safety of the user while moving throughout the home.
