Pack it Flat was a 6 week project exploring furniture design for the flat-pack market. Drawing on inspiration from Ikea, and other ready to use furniture products, the concept of VALO was developed. Sustainability was a forefront concern for this project. Analysis into the product’s life cycle, the materials and methods of construction helped to develop a product that was designed for disassembly without compromising on strength and durability, and had easily repaired or replaced parts.

As part of this project, we were required to develop an IKEA style assembling guide to best communicate how our project could be easily put together at home, without the need for complex tools. It's also an indication into the ease of disassembly, should the project be required to have parts replaced. Below are a few key pages.
